Yes, I misread it that it was a ContentBox feature. I commented on the mailing list thread with a link to the existing Railo bug report on this. People can and should follow up there to get Railo to fix the bug.

I have no control of this feature, It is a railo feature. I think its best to leave it off anyways.

I'm afraid what Gunnar reported was an actual bug in how our compression works and I think we should address that as well. Simply turning off the feature by default won't fix the bug.
