Create new ContentBox setting called identity tagging or something, to enable/disable an interceptor to add an "X-Powered-By" HTTP header to each response with a value of "ContentBox Modular CMS 2.0" (or whatever the current version is). If people don't want to broadcast that header, they can disable the setting.
I will contact builtwith.com after this to have them update their tracking mechanism to look for this header since it will be present regardless of the layout in use.
Also, check all our default layouts and make sure they have this meta tag:
