Add a Warning Confirmation When a Published Page is About to Be Sent to Draft

Description

In working with new Content Editors, one of the most confusing/frustrating issues has been that clicking "Save As Draft" unpublishes the current page.

At the very least, the user needs a warning when they are about to unpublish published items. Better still would be to save the content as a new draft, without un-publishing the published page.

That is a definite improvement. There is an indicator that shows the state of the auto-save. Why couldn’t we store that auto save content in IndexDB in the short term (which requires SSL) or localstorage and then load it back when they hit the editor for the same page?

Actually, I think this is done already:

Drafts is something I have been working on, but not completed. Which would allow you to keep your page published and yet have a draft in place. This is not possible right now as mentioned. I will look at ways to notify the user.
